Connecting your WordPress website with Abun is easy, & there are two ways to do it.
1) Connect with WordPress Site URL.
2) Connect with Username and Application Password
Steps to connect your WordPress website using URL
1) Log in to your Abun Dashboard & navigate to the integrations section.
2) On the WordPress tab, click on Connect More Sites.
3) Paste your WordPress website URL in the box & click on Connect WordPress.
4) You will be redirected to your WP dashboard page where, if you are not already logged in, you will be prompted to log in.
5) Once on your dashboard, you will need to approve the integration so click on Yes, I approve of this connection.
6) Congratulations, your integration is successful.
Steps to connect your WordPress website using Username and Application Password
Before following this process, make sure you’ve created your website’s application password. If you haven’t done it yet, here’s how you can set it up.
1) Log in to your WordPress dashboard and go to the Users section.
2) Click on Profile and scroll down to find the Application Passwords option.
3) Enter a name for your new application password and click Add.
4) Your application password is now ready. Make sure to copy it and keep it somewhere safe.
If you already have an application password, you proceed directly.
1) Log in to your Abun Dashboard and go to the Integrations section.
2) Under the WordPress tab, click Connect More Sites.
3) Paste your WordPress website URL into the box, then enter your Application Password Name and Application Password. Click Connect WordPress.
4) You’ll be redirected to your WordPress dashboard. If you’re not logged in, log in when prompted.
5) On your dashboard, you’ll need to approve the integration. Click Yes, I approve of this connection.
6) That’s it, your integration is successful.
Though your website has been connected successfully, in order to generate & publish your articles using Abun for your WordPress website, you will need to check your permalinks settings on your dashboard. Irrespective of the method you used to connect your WordPress website, you need to perform the below steps.
1) Click on settings & then select permalinks.
2) Set it to Post Name & click on save.
Now you should be able to generate & publish articles using Abun for your WordPress website.
